Roy was my friend

I remember Roy from my childhood.
My family would show up at his folk's
house for Thanksgiving.
Roy devoted all his attention to
me during our visits. He invented
many wild adventures for us.
Once he hooked a sled on a rope behind his
Harley and towed me through the deep snow,
all over his folks ranch, laughing like a maniac
the whole time.
Roy died when I was ten. I never really got over
the loss of my best friend and cousin.
Roy is survived by his wife and son named Shawn
Shawn is now in his 30's.
Shawn has never met me, but I know he is serving
in the military, and following in Roy's footsteps.
Thanks for serving Roy and Shawn.
We'll see you again someday.
