I was there when Clarke and Skutt were killed

I remember them coming up a path for hot chow when we got incoming. The VC walked their mortars in right up to the mess tent then hammered the hell out of us. Clarke and Skutt took one of the first rounds, all hell broke lose that morning. To this day, I regret not getting in touch with reletives. These were good people, proud to serve with them, 'only the good die young'
