My Crew Chief
Posted for: RICHARD JAMES KILWINE:
During the time that crews were assigned to one ship, Kilwine was my crew chief. He was probably the best crew chief in the unit. I'd have flown his ship to hell and back if I had to. I was supposed to be the A/C on that night mission, but two guys from battalion (I think) came down to get their flight time in. Me and my pilot were given the night off. I can still remember getting the news that "my" ship was gone. I remember the service as if it were yesterday. I think about you everyday. I often wonder if your family is ok. I can't imagine what your loss meant to them. I won't ever forget you. I hope remembering brings honor to your name.
