Jeffery David Kuersten was born July 24, 1951 in Sacramento, California. He graduated from Blackford High School and was a member of Sunnyvale Chapter of DeMolay. He served as a medic in Vietnam and was killed with four others in a helicopter crash, December 14, 1970.

Jeffery was survived by his mother, Mrs. Helen Gascon of Sacramento; his father, Harold Kuersten of San Francisco and a brother Ronald of San Jose.

He is buried in the Veterans Section of Oak Hill Memorial Park Cemetery, San Jose, California.
